BMW noticed that advertising was making a shift from traditional methods like print and television and over to digital platforms, specifically mobile. To ensure that they maintained their position as a leader in the automotive industry, they commissioned a series of advertising campaigns to be run primarily on digital and mobile. A number of mobile focused campaigns were built for the BMW 1, 2, 3, 6, i3 and i8 models. A high premium was placed on customer UX and UI.
